I’ve used the site before, it’s really useful for when you want to start a new project and you need a unique name that has plenty of social scope.
52 social sites though, it’s a wonder anyone has the time to do anything with all the people they meet!

Those are all great points Andy which is why Facebook Connect and OpenID are both gaining popularity.
Login and Profile Building Fatigue are real challenges these days abd will only get worse. Just as you mentioned social scope, branding is a factor. For instance, I recently coined the term tribalpreneur. By using the namechk tool I can grab accounts with my new branded term for greater exposure. Anyone can do this with a product or service.
