Login and Profile Building Fatigue are real challenges these days abd will only get worse. Just as you mentioned social scope, branding is a factor. For instance, I recently coined the term tribalpreneur. By using the namechk tool I can grab accounts with my new branded term for greater exposure. Anyone can do this with a product or service.
Facebook Connect - How will Internet Marketers use it's potential?

For a while I looked to keep two separate profiles but then decided that it was too much work. It will be interesting to see if the masses adopt facebook connect or look to an OpenID provider instead.
