500 Channels and Nothing On – The Death of Traditional TV Programming!

So there I was… Up late at night.  My usual insomniatic self. On this particular occasion I was waiting for my mind to reach complete exhaustion so that I could fall asleep.

It was nearly two years ago that I was laying on the couch in my apartment watching TV. It was a little after 2am.

As I jumped from channel to channel, I really started to get angry.  I was paying more than $100 a month for cable TV, and I was not able to find anything on that was worth watching.

It was at that moment that I decided to become an early adopter of what I believe to be the future of online entertainment /edutainment, and the death of traditional television.

The next day I packed up my cable box and dropped it off at the cable company.  Read More…

Where’s Waldo? Err Jesse rather…

Yes that was the subject line of a few emails received from friends and business associates over the past few months.

The answer to my whereabouts is quite simple.  I have been living in Italy since September of last year and I am really enjoying my time here.  Since September I have traveled to…

Germany, Belgium, France, Switzerland, and all through out Italy.  Some of my favorite stops have been…

Venice, Paris, Toaramina, Geneva, Morzine, Rome, and even here in Naples where I am living. The European journey (round 1) concludes at the end of May at which time I will be moving to Texas.

Yes I have been working on a few covert project while here, but my exposure in the Internet Marketing circles has been very limited.

I am in the process of completing a new course on Autoresponders that is designed with the brand new marketing in mind.  I expect this course to be complete near the end of next month.

So there you have it for all the inquiring minds that wanted to know, it has been told. ;)

Social Media websites have a loud voice and Google is listening!

Recently I coined the term Tribalpreneur.

The idea came to me on a bike ride.

I was thinking to myself that many of the people who consider themselves to be an entrepreneur are ONLY focused on how can they sell more of a product or service, and who they can find to buy from them.

And too many would be entrepreneurs just have an all around air about them that says… “How can I get more for ME?”

This is why many new businesses fail.

Most new startups are focusing on building a customer base around their offering when they should be focused on building an offering around a group of people that share a common interest “A Tribe”. Determine the needs of the tribe by listening and asking questions, and then serve them quality solutions.

For the most part marketing has been a one way conversation. Blah Blah Blah in your face until you buy something. This is all changing with Social Media. If your marketing does not include the voice of the Tribe, you are on your way out. Period! Now before I digress into a rant the purpose of this post is to share a few observations about SEO and Google Indexing as it relates to the search term Tribalpreneur.

As of August 23rd, 2009 there was not a single content listing on Google for the term Tribalpreneur.

As of today there are more than 60.

Very seldom do you get to see clean Google search listings for a term that prior to two weeks ago, did not exist.

So it has been interesting to see which of the sites (where I have mentioned the term) are ranking at the top. In other words, which sites get all the Google love.

And since I have been checking it daily, I have also been able to see which listings were indexed the fastest.

And the top ten search listings for tribalpreneur on Google are…

1. Tribalpreneur | Facebook – At the very top is the facebook group that I created called tribalpreneur

2. Jesse Jameson on Twitter – Next is a digg.com digg from a blog post that I made on one of my other blogs at www.meetingwiththemasters.com

3. Tribalpreneur | Jesse Jameson’s Blog – Finally a site that I own… Its a comment listing on my own personal blog.

4. Jesse Jameson’s Blog – Another link to my blog

5. Search for “site:meetingwiththemasters.com” – Another Digg listing

6. What the heck is a Tribalpreneur? – Yet Another Digg Listing

7. Jessejameson.com – Jesse Jameson – Internet Marketing School - A Domaintools.com search listing on my blog domain

8. Jesse Jameson (Jesse_Jameson) on Twitter – A Twitter post from my twitter account that leads to my twitter profile

9. The Jesse Jameson Show on USTREAM: All things Marketing, Internet – My profile on Ustream

10. TwitPwr – Short URLs for Twitter with Analytics and user profile pages – My TwitPwr Profile

Now it is important to note that I have not attempted to do any search engine optimization.

All 60 plus listings are the result of mentioning the term in my profiles, creating a Facebook Group, writing a few blog posts, and sending a few tweets.

As you can see, the search engines are listening, and the Social Media websites have a very loud voice.

What do these results tell me? Well one of the gems is that the next time you launch a product, or do a promotion of any kins… Consider creating a Facebook Group about it.

Another is… Don’t discount the reach and SEO love of Digg.com

Internet Entrepreneur Intern / Project Manager Opportunities

If there is one thing that all full-time internet marketers have in common, (especially those that teach internet marketing) is an abundance of projects that they have identified as opportunities with great potential.  The bad news is that we simply don’t have the time to take action with all of them.  This may be good news for you.  I have a few projects that have MEGA potential and could use some attention.

Are you someone with some time on your hands who is looking to be mentored?  Do you have a genuine interest in making money online?  Would coaching from a top marketer be of value to you?  Are you ready to trade your time and effort in exchange for what I can teach you about building your own thriving internet business?  If so, this may be an opportunity match made in heaven.

As one of my Interns you would be assigned one of my pet projects.  You would have access to my resources and be provided step-by-step guidance.  There will be a introduction period to see if the project is a fit for your interest and skill set.  If after the introduction period  we both agree that there is a match, then you will be made a partner on the project and compensated a percentage of the project revenue.

As an internet / project manager, you will have complete access to www.internetprofitacademy.com and all of our training resources.  you will also receive regular  personal coaching from me directly.

If you are interested… Send an email to jessepjameson@gmail.com with the following information.

  • Time Available to work on project each week.
  • List any websites or internet marketing projects that you are currently involved in, as well as past projects.
  • What are your top 5 skills that you feel lend to your ability to be successful in Internet Marketing.
  • What 3 areas of internet marketing interest you most?  Example:  Article Writing, Information products, SEO, Market Research, Working with Partners and/or affiliates, etc.
  • Take a moment to tell me why mentoring and coaching would be of value to you.

That’s it!

I will personally review and respond to all inquiries.

Together in Success!

Jesse Jameson

Let the games begin!

Still a bit of dust, yet well on its way to being the central hub of all things Jesse. Ground Zero if you will.

I must give mad props to Chris Pirillo the man who is responsible for this quality Wordpress theme.  It is by far the best social media theme I have found.  It does have a few bugs and if your not a little technical or have access to someone who is, this might not be for you. By the way Happy Birthday Chris!  You are quite the Tribalpreneur.  Today your tribe helped you trend on twitter to the #2 spot.  Congrats.  If it wasn’t for Comic-con, you would have nailed that top spot.

Anyway, I will be writing up a piece on Chris later this week as his is an excellent example of what building a social tribe is all about.

Cheers,

Jesse
